St. Patty Day Parade Official Rules, must read Options

I didnt know Tom Cleaver was involved with the parade.

Its a shame, cuz we are actually one of the more responsible floats. One of our major concerns was candy or beads falling to close to the bus. We always make it clear to our marchers to look out for the kids and thats part of the reason the beads get launched several yards away or flat out handed to the kids on the side of the road. The driver has orders to look out for the kids and so do we. Besides our bus is usually moving along at a speed of 1 MPH or slower.

But of course the Tom Cleavers in the world have to try to enforce some unneeded rules to put a damper on a good thing.

This could be the key to us "Giving" out beads... Not throwing, walkers can hand them to moms or kids etc, walk on the edge of th ecrowd and hend them out. Anyway not like the people can stand on top of the bus again anyway....

The thought of the parade being the same with out beads and candy is assinine. It will cut 85% of the fun out of the parade and 50% of the kids and families wont show next year. ltll be just like SPD. Nothing to do with families and just a sloppy drunkfest!

How ever. Make no mistake about it. THIS SUNDAY! Ill keep my drinks either concealed or on the bus during the parade. I will be drinking and I will be looking out for kids and playing it safe like I do every year. Acting accordingly for a family friendly envirement.

But one things for sure I will be "HANDLING" out beads and or throwing them as I see fit.
